Biography

Qantas Under 23s
Brilliant form for Central Coast Mariners in the first season of the Hyundai A-League, saw him start as the automatic first choice when the first squad of the 2008 Under 23's was put together in 2006. Played in all three matches at the Spring Cup in Vietnam, keeping a clean sheet in all three games that further cemented his position as No.1 keeper. Since then, he has been the mainstay of the team, playing a leading role in throughout the qualifying process. Many consider Vukovic as the next challenger to Mark Schwarzer’s position as No.1 keeper for the Qantas Socceroos. He was the stand-by keeper for Australia’s 2007 Asian Cup finals campaign.
Qantas Young Socceroos
Excellent form in several matches for Parramatta Power saw him called up to the squad in 2005, after being overlooked in matches played in 2004. Made his debut in the opening game of the Oceania qualifiers. Didn't play in the next two qualifiers, but came back into the side for the semi final and final, keeping a clean sheet in the 3-0 win over the Solomon Islands in the final. Played in the opening match of the lead-up tournament to the 2005 World Youth Championships, a 2-0 loss to Colombia, which proved his final match for the team. Was selected in the final squad for the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship being held in the Netherlands, but had to settle for third-choice behind Adam Federici and Justin Pasfield.
