Biography

Qantas Socceroos
The local Central Coast product, has enjoyed a stellar season after a less than successful first season with the Central Coast Mariners in 2007/08, the catalyst for his call up to the national team. When the Mariners kicked off their inaugural campaign, Simon was an amateur playing in the local Central Coast Premier League. After training with the Mariners during the first couple of seasons, Simon earned a contract in season three, but the tall, strongly built took his time to adjust to the higher level mostly making appearances off the substitutes. Failed to score in season three, but a call up to the Under 23 level provided the spark he needed and the rest is history. Scored his first goal in the Hyundai A-League in the opening round of season four and didn't look back and hasn't looked back, banging in the goals with regularity and proving an excellent all round striker.
