Biography
Qantas Socceroos
Was one of only two players from the Hyundai A-League chosen for the 2006 World Cup Finals squad. Didn't feature in any matches, but the experience gained will hopefully serve him well for 2010. After narrowly missing out on selection in the final squad for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, Beauchamp blossomed with the Central Coast Mariners in the inaugural season of the Hyundai A–League, his defensive prowess being a major factor behind the initial success of the Mariners. Has played mainly as a central defender, although can play as a right–sided defender as well. He is big, strong, has great pace for a big player and reads the game very well, which allows him to affect a lot of turnovers. Following the 2006 World Cup he signed on loan with German Bundesliga outfit Nurnberg and enjoyed a successful first season, which has seen him signed permanetly.
Qantas Under 23s
Surprisingly made just the one appearance during the 2004 Olympic campaign, despite excellent form for his club. Was named as back-up player for the finals in Athens.
