Biography
 
A former member of the Qantas Young Socceroos who made his professional debut with Dutch 1st Division club VVV Venlo and has also played at Portuguese giants FC Porto, Watson provides the Reds with another midfield option, although he proved a more than capable right back in 2010/11. Watson is the son of a former professional Scottish footballer and has captained the Australian Institute of Sport team on his way to playing for the Oakleigh Cannons in the Victorian Premier League, where he was spotted by the Reds and was initially brought to the club as an injury replacement player.
