The ME Bank Green Card for Fairer Play Award is designed to recognise, reward and support the most significant acts of fair play within the Hyundai A-League community - both on and off the field. Each Hyundai A-League player nominated for the annual award demonstrated one or many of the following acts; loyalty, integrity, honesty, teamwork, respect, commitment to their community.

A Green Card panel of experts from within the football community determined the annual winner from three nominees, Jerrad Tyson (Western Sydney Wanderers), Leigh Broxham (Melbourne Victory) and Thomas Broich (Brisbane Roar). The winner of the ME Bank Green Card for Fairer Play Award was given $10,000 to donate to their chosen Grassroots Club courtesy of ME Bank. Congratulations to Thomas Broich from Brisbane Roar who has been awarded the inaugural ME Bank Green Card for Fairer Play Award for his act of Fairer Play during the Hyundai A-League 2012/13 season. Thomas has won $10,000 to donate to his junior club courtesy of ME Bank.

And congratulations to Shane Valesini from Melbourne who has won a trip to the Hyundai A-League 2013 Grand Final including $5,000 courtesy of ME Bank, for voting for Thomas Broich.

The Man of the Match player at each Brisbane Roar game is awarded $500 by 1303 Club members. Thomas has won this award three times and has donated the money to charity each time. Thomas also actively participates in Roar's extensive community program which includes the Roar Active Program, development clinics, appearances and a pre-season tour of local clubs.
