Female Coach Developers Program

Female Coach Developers Program
-
As the women's game continues to grow in Australia, FFA is also committed to further facilitate the development of the women's game within coaching.

Women's football has come along in leaps and bounds with the success of the Westfield Matildas, stability of  the Westfield W-League and the continued increase of female participation within football.

The Female Coach Developers Program is part of Football Federation Australia’s initiatives to increase the quantity and quality of the Coach Developer workforce, as well as to increase the number of female coaches working within football.

In the past five years, the Coach Development department has experienced a major increase of interest and demand for advanced coaching education course. While the demand continues to increase, FFA has seen this as an excellent opportunity to grow the number of females coaches within all member federations.

As part of this focus, the Coach Development team selected six experienced female coaches to attend the Female Coach Developers Program held at the AIS in Canberra.

This program aims to expand the coach education network by further developing the facilitation, assessment, mentoring and learning program design skills of these candidates in order to become facilitators on future FFA/AFC Advanced Coaching Courses.

After completion of the four day course participants will continue their growth and gain further experience through the support of member federations and FFA staff.
