Fit-again Rogic scores in big Celtic win

Tom Rogic found net in Celtic's big win in Scotland overnight.
Caltex Socceroos playmaker Tom Rogic got on the scoresheet this morning as Celtic romped to a big win and edged closer to an unbeaten season in Scotland.

Rogic scored the second goal of the Hoops’ 5-0 drubbing of fellow Aussie Ryan Edwards’ Partick Thistle.

The 24-year-old playmaker started a second consecutive match in the SPL and capped a dominant first half display with a goal on 26 minutes.

Striker Leigh Griffiths created it as he slalomed through four defenders before crossing for a sliding Rogic to get a touch, with the ball hitting both posts before trickling over the line.

Brendon Rodgers’ side have now moved to a whopping 103 points from their 37 games, equalling the highest tally in a season set by Martin O’Neill’s Celtic in the 2001/02 Season.

They are also just one game away from completing an unbeaten season and becoming the SPL’s ‘Invincibles’.

Celtic host Hearts on the final day of the season this weekend.

Edwards came on at half-time for Thistle, who remain in sixth spot ahead of their final match against Aberdeen.
