Biography
 
Since joining the club in 2010, Erik Paartalu has been a revelation in his defensive midfield role for Brisbane Roar. With four years’ experience abroad in Scottish football, Paartalu is a natural leader on the field with his towering height, strength and passing ability making him extremely hard to beat in a midfield battle. The 24-year-old etched his name into club history with his last-gasp equaliser in the Hyundai A-League 2010/11 Grand Final, which the Roar eventually won on penalties in emphatic fashion.
