Central Coast Mariners will hold the first of their 2012 Ausgrid Club Nights this Tuesday 29 May at the home of Woongarrah Wildcats FC, Hamlyn Terrace Oval.
Having proven immensely popular with the Central Coast football fraternity in 2011, Ausgrid Club Nights allow Mariners players and coaching staff to immerse themselves in grassroots football, aiding the development of junior players in the region.
In 2012 the Mariners will hold up to 12 Ausgrid Club Nights throughout the Central Coast, commencing with sessions at Woongarrah Wildcats FC this Tuesday, and East Gosford Rams FC on Thursday.
The Mariners will hold the bulk of this years’ Ausgrid Club Nights in July and August, after the team enjoys an extended and well-earned break throughout June.
Central Coast Mariners Head Coach Graham Arnold said it is important for the Club to connect and engage with the local football community.
“Our Ausgrid Club Nights are a great way for the team to give back to the players, parents and volunteers who have supported the team throughout this season,” Arnold said.
“It gives us great satisfaction to be able to put a smile on a junior players’ face simply by helping them with their training session, or handing them a signed poster.”
Indeed, every junior player at the free Ausgrid Club Nights will enjoy a 45-minute training session guided by the full Mariners squad and coaching staff, followed by a signing session with the team.
Each player will also receive a complimentary Mariners goodie bag featuring a team poster, Ausgrid Ambassador Player Cards, and important information about electrical safety.
The goodie bags also contain information about the Clubs’ Ausgrid Mariners Mates program, which provides every Central Coast Football registered player with 100 per cent free access to each of the Central Coast Mariners’ 2012/13 Hyundai A-League home games at Bluetongue Stadium.
“We encourage all junior footballers eligible for the Ausgrid Mariners Mates program to visit the dedicated website and sign up to be an Ausgrid Mariners Mate for the 2012/13 season,” Arnold added.
Junior footballers 16 years and under from Ku-ring-gai & District Soccer Association and Gladesville Hornsby Football Association are also eligible for complimentary admission to Mariners home matches.
