Sky Blues vs. Mariners this Saturday!

GRAHAM Arnold’s Central Coast Mariners will venture south of the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Saturday to challenge Frank Farina’s Sydney FC in Hyundai A-League round 24.

This will be the third and final time the yellow and navy will meet the sky blues in the regular season rounds, with both sides having claimed maximum points over their opponents once so far this season.

In November, Central Coast claimed a dominant 7-2 victory over the then Ian Crook coached Sydney FC at Gosford’s Bluetongue Stadium. In December, Brett Emerton’s late goal secured Sydney a narrow 1-0 win over the Mariners at Allianz Stadium.

With both the Mariners and Sydney FC having suffered defeats in the latest round of Hyundai A-League play, the game promises to provide plenty of intrigue and action for supporters of both teams and neutrals alike.

Indeed, the Mariners will be keen to claim all three competition points as they aim to maximise the pressure on league leaders Western Sydney Wanderers. Frank Farina’s team are chasing a finals berth, and know they must consistently pick up points if they’re to feature in the playoffs.

The game kicks-off at 5:30pm, and thanks to Coastal Liner Coaches fans can travel from the Central Coast to the match in comfort.

With two convenient pick-up points (Tuggerah & Gosford), and a return ticket priced at just $23 per person, travelling to the SFS via our official supporter buses is a great value option for fans keen to get to and from the match with ease.
