| Goalkeeper Justin Pasfield may have been assigned the No.20 jersey for Central Coast Mariners this season, however the former Sydney FC player has real claims to becoming the Mariners number one stopper.
Having enjoyed two standout seasons with North Queensland Fury from 2009 to 2011, Pasfield’s move south to the Mariners ensures Graham Arnold has two top quality keepers at his disposal.
A member of the Australian U20s that competed in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands, Pasfield has also plied his trade in the Republic of Ireland for Bray Wanderers.
Pasfield kept a clean sheet for Central Coast against Scottish giants Glasgow Celtic at ANZ Stadium in July, earning an instant rapport with the Mariners faithful. |
