A dazzling, creative midfielder with an acute eye for goal, Marcos Flores is one of the excitement machines of the Hyundai A-League. The Argentine ace was born in Reconquista in his homeland, and played for Union de Santa De and Newell’s Old Boys before venturing to Chile to represent Curico Unido in 2009. Flores’ time in Australia’s top division of football began in 2009 when he linked with Adelaide United. Flores excelled at the Reds, wowing crowds with his delightful touches and classy goals. After winning the Johnny Warren Medal as the competition’s best player in 2011, Flores was enticed to Henan Jianye of the Chinese Super League. 12 months later, Melbourne Victory made one of the shrewdest signings of the off-season by securing Flores’ services as their marquee player. Flores signed for Central Coast Mariners on July 5, 2013 on a one-season contract.
