FFA Schools 5-a-side
The FFA Schools 5-a-Side brings together a number of local schools (multi school events) to participate in football matches on smaller fields in a round robin format at local venues. The focus is entirely on enjoyment and participation, as there are no winners or scores recorded. Throughout the day, some students will also have the chance to represent their school in a number of football challenges, including ball juggling and a penalty kick shoot-out .
Providing a fun opportunity for boys and girls aged between schooling Years 1 to 4, FFA’s Member Federations are delighted to support and facilitate the national schools program. Schools are requested to enter three teams - a boys, girls and mixed team. The FFA Schools 5-a-Side provides students - who may or may not have played before - the opportunity to experience and be introduced to football in a fun, friendly and safe environment.
The game rules are simplified, with each game being supervised by either a Year 6 or 7 student acting as the ‘Game Leader’.
