| 2nd Assistant Coach & Head Youth Coach
Regarded as one of Australia’s top development mentors, Mulvey played a pivotal role in Queensland’s outstanding player production line that has yielded the likes of Tahj Minniecon, Robbie Kruse, Tom Oar and Luke DeVere. Mulvey stood down from his position as Men’s Head Coach at the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) to pursue his Hyundai A-League ambitions. Although recruited to oversee the Gold Coast United Youth Team, his role has evolved to the position of First Team Coach after steering United's youngsters to successive NYL Championships in each of their first two seasons. Prior to his three-year stint as QAS Men’s Head Coach, Mulvey enjoyed remarkable success as the QAS Women’s Head Coach, winning the National League on four occasions between 1999 and 2007. A holder of the Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) 'A' Coaching Certificate, he was also Assistant Coach with the Australian Under 20 National Team from 2007 to 2009. |
