Biography
 
Former Blackburn Rovers and Netherlands U21 striker, Maceo was signed during the final days of this season’s transfer window as Miron Bleiberg looked to bolster his attacking options. Maceo began his career at top Dutch outfit Heerenveen and enjoyed spells at Dordrecht and NAC Breda before signing four-year deal with Blackburn in 2007. After going on loan to Norwich City, Barnsley and Willem II, Maceo was snapped up by Gold Coast. In the 2007 UEFA U21 Championship he was named in the ‘Team of the Tournament’ and also secured the Golden Boot after firing home four goals in a side that included the likes of Ryan Babel. Strong and powerful, the Dutch forward will add more muscle and experience to United’s front line.
