Biography
 
Arriving from top Dutch outfit De Graafschap, the tenacious midfielder is one of United’s most exciting signings this season. Before agreeing to join the Hyundai A-League Peter was in demand with clubs from Holland, Germany and Austria all vying for his signature. But he opted for a switch to United and is tipped to be a strong import for both the club and the competition. Renowned for his fitness levels and work rate, Peter made 79 appearances for De Graafschap, 31 of those in the Eredevisie (top division) last season. A product of the famous ADO Den Haag youth academy, he was voted as the most underrated player in the Eredivisie by leading Dutch football magazine Voetbal International in 2010/11. Equally comfortable in the wide or central midfield positions, Peter is a superb capture for Gold Coast United.
