| Victory interim coach, James "Jim" Magilton, signed with the club after the departure of Mehmet Durakovic in 2011. The ex-midfielder’s stellar football career started as a youth at Liverpool, before he signed with Oxford United. After scoring 34 goals from midfield in 150 league appearances he signed with Southampton in 1994.Three years later he moved to Sheffield Wednesday, before moving to his beloved Ipswich Town. Magilton's professional club career ended at Ipswich, after making a total of 580 appearances, and scoring 64 goals over 18 years. Magilton also represented Northern Ireland, making 52 appearances and scoring five goals. Magilton began his career as a manager at Ipswich, where he led the club for three years before taking over at Queens Park Rangers in 2009. Victory signed Magilton from Irish first division club, Shamrock Rovers, where he worked as an assistant coach. |
