Are you ready for Hyundai A-League 2012/13?

Sunday, 16 September 2012 8:55 AM

Last year Hyundai A-League fans across Australia came together under the banner We Are Football with a campaign that featured football-loving, game-going fans.

And we reckon this season can be even better!

Welcome to the 2012/13 Hyundai A-League Season.

This season is for all of us. The fans, the players, the managers, the coaches, the referees, the mascots, the sponsors, the commentators, those playing in amateur leagues, those cutting oranges for half time, those talking football on a street corner, those practising at home with backyard dreams.

Check out our pre-season teaser film above. It's a taste of the season to come, and captures why we're proud to be part of the football family. Share it with those who you think feel the same way.

I really am looking forward to this season... But... That is one of the worst video cuts i have ever seen for a football video.... Get a decent video editor and whoever is in the FFA or A-League marketing team that approved this to be released, you need a real creativity check! It almost sucked the excitement out of me...

I have to agree with the chorus of boos. This is just terrible and in such an important year for the competition, too. The clip they played on the big screen last season at Victory games just before the team walked out was way, way better and I'm sure they didn't have anywhere near the budget. Looks like a rush job put together by someone with some basic iMovie skills and no passion for the game. Epic fail FFA.

Terrible, I could've done a better job myself this just doesn't capture the madness, passion and frenetic pace of a real life football experiance time to stop softening the nature of football and just except we are what we are... We are football.

I believe this is the worst ad since the A-League began. Better music, better goal scoring scenes and better crowd shot could be used from last years action to improve. And please change the music.

Definitely not a teaser video clip for a season opener. . . . . where is the inspiration that marketing people within the FFA should possess to take the A-League into Season 8. Get ADP into a Sydney FC shirt for some skill & flair shots supported with some of the other 'marquee' players from across the country doing their best video edited stuff from Season 7. Borrow a sound track from an Aussie rock group that speaks loudly. . . .'watch me roar, let me score' theme. Come on please.

Sorry, but this is terrible. Agree with Ian that last years was much better. This is just tacky and sounds cheap.

Please revisit this (teaser) production immediately. FFA must locate at least find a snippet of footage from trials ga,es contested by the newest club oldest club in the A-League, the Western Sydney Wanderers FC. To do otherwise would be a marketing disaster, as you'll alienating a potential audience of 2 million new fans.

Looking forward to the season. I swear the cheering is the same audio track over and over. i hope they didn't spend too much money on this. Anyone can put together some clips from last season with a crappy audio track. FFA sure are a talent-less bunch . Good too see the registration fees of juniors being spent on something worthwhile :/

In 8 years this has to be the worst season opener video made. Was there a high school comp being run and best entry gets showcased?? FFA, did you actually pay for that montage that could very easily be done with Windows Media Player? Thankfully the players, clubs and new signings will inspire the league. We have a saving grace there. Please if you want good season opening videos, look at your first 3/4 seasons.

I think Roar's home page should be open for comments all the time and more effort needs to be done to update the page and keep it up to date about the club, the players, injuries etc. More should have been done in the off season to keep members (all fans)involved.
