Newcastle Jets players Ruben Zadkovich and Craig Goodwin visited long-time Jets supporter Bill Kellaway on Wednesday at Bayside Aged Care, Bonnells Bay.
Bill, who is suffering from severe lung cancer, was thrilled to have the Jets take time out of their pre-season training to visit him and said it brightened his day.
During the visit the players also presented Bill with a Jets jersey.
