Shane Smeltz is the A-League’s hottest striker and Perth Glory’s new international marquee player for the next three seasons. In 77 Hyundai A-League games, Smeltz has scored an amazing 49 goals, been crowned the leading goal scorer twice and also been voted the competitions best player. The New Zealand international is also a star on the world stage, having scored a goal at the 2010 FIFA World Cup against defending champions Italy. Smeltz is the complete forward, classy on the ball, devastating in front of goal and super cool under pressure. His signature is one the great recruiting coups.
