Biography
 
A poster girl for the Westfield Matildas, Tameka Butt made her debut alongside a host of debutants including Ellyse Perry, Elise Kellond-Knight and Kyah Simon in Australia’s 8-1 Olympic qualifier win against Hong Kong in 2007. Following Australian Under 17s honours, where Tameka featured at the AFC Women's U17 Championships 2007, Butt went on to captain the Westfield Young Matildas until 2009, leading the team that appeared at the 2008 AFC Women's U20 Championships and the ASEAN Women's Cup where the team were crowned Champions. ‘Meeks’, as she is commonly known, has enjoyed solid time as part of the Westfield Matildas, including the 2008 AFC Women’s Asian Cup and the 2010 AFC Women’s Asian Cup in China.
