| Ian Crook was appointed Head Coach of Sydney FC ahead of the 2012/13 season after two seasons coaching Sydney FC’s National Youth League team.
The experienced Englishman has a long and distinguished playing career that saw him play 15 seasons in the English Premier League for Tottenham and Norwich City FC, making a combined 457 appearances for the two clubs. The 49-year-old was Pierre Littbarski’s Assistant Coach in Sydney FC’s inaugural Hyundai A-League season, capturing the 2005/05 Championship. He then had coaching stints in Japan and England, winning promotion to the English Championship with Norwich City as Assistant to Paul Lambert in 2009/10, before returning to Australia. Ian was also named 2001/02 National Soccer League Coach of the Year with Newcastle United.
