Biography
 
Hiro enjoyed an excellent debut A-League season, playing 28 games, including 23 starts, and earning himself a new two-year contract. He adapted to the physical nature of the league with ease with his play characterised by hard running, hustle and passion. He brings both a gritty defensive ethos and a sharp eye for goal while his fitness and endurance make him an integral role player for the team. The highlight of the his debut year came when he played in his native Japan against Kashima Antlers in Sydney FC’s final game of the Asian Champions League campaign.
