| Tony started his career at Liverpool where he was for five years as second keeper to England international David James. He had loan spells with Swindon Town, Celtic, and Aberdeen whilst at Anfield. At Millwall, he was a fan favourite and prolific penalty stopper. Warner was voted Player of the Year 2002–03 by the Millwall fans despite being injured and unable to keep goal for Millwall at their 2004 F.A. Cup Final appearance, the then Millwall manager Dennis Wise, insisted that he be presented with a medal. He left Millwall the next year to sign for Cardiff City where he spent two years. He signed on loan at Fulham when the club suffered an injury crisis and the deal was made permanent at the end of the spell. Tony then had spells at Leeds United, Norwich, Hull City, Charlton Athletic and Tranmere Rovers. Tony signed for the Phoenix in 2011. |
