Football Australia Members ratify Appointed Directors to Board

  • Former Socceroo Mark Bresciano reappointed

  • Former Commonwealth Bank Matilda, Heather Garriock appointed

  • Successful businesswoman, and former Managing Director of Retail Distribution at ANZ Bank, Catriona Noble appointed

The members of Football Australia ratified the appointment of three (3) members to the Board of Directors for a term of two (2) years at a General Meeting held today.

Mark Bresciano was reappointed, and the newly appointed members are former Commonwealth Bank Matilda, Heather Garriock and successful businesswoman and a former Managing Director of Retail Distribution at ANZ Bank, and former Managing Director and CEO of McDonalds Australia, Catriona Noble.

Mr Nikou welcomed the appointments to the Board of Football Australia.

“I am pleased with the reappointment of Mark and appointments of Heather and Catriona to the Board. 

“They each bring a unique and important set of skills to the Board to complement those of the existing Board members.  I would also like to thank the Members of Football Australia for ratifying these appointments, all important steps to the ongoing transformation of our sport as we continue driving forward with our new 15-year vision and strategic agenda,” he said.

The membership of Football Australia, comprises 28 members, including 9 x Member Federations, 8 x Professional League Clubs, 10 x Women’s Football Council members, and the Players’ Member (the PFA).
