How to watch the Matildas & Olyroos at the Olympics

The postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympics begin on Wednesday July 21 when the Matildas face close neighbours New Zealand on the opening day of the Women's Olympic Football Tournament. 

Both the Matildas & Olyroos qualified for Tokyo 2020 for the first time since the Athens 2004 Olympics. 

The Olyroos begin their tournament against Argentina a day later, on Thursday July 22, before taking on Spain (Sunday July 25) and Egypt (Wednesday July 28). 

Alongside New Zealand, the Matildas were also drawn against Sweden and the United States in their group, facing them on Saturday July 24 and Tuesday July 27 respectively. 

All of the Olympics action will be live & free on Channel 7 in Australia, and the Matildas' opening game will be shown on the main channels this Wednesday, with a 9:30pm AEST kick off. 

For the Olyroos, their opening game on Thursday will be shown live on 7Mate in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth & Adelaide. Kick-off for that one is 8:30pm AEST.
