Outcome of Independent Match Review Panel: Isuzu UTE A-League Men 2021/22 (Matchweek 3)

The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) – consisting of Simon Micallef (Chair), Alan Contini and Adam D’Apuzzo – convened on Monday, 6 December 2021 to consider an incident involving Raimon Marchán Vidal (Marchán) in or around the 45th minute of Melbourne Victory’s Isuzu UTE  A-League Men 2021/22 Round 3 fixture against Perth Glory on Sunday, 5 December 2021. 

In accordance with the A-League Men Disciplinary Regulations, the MRP has the authority to consider the incident as Marchán was issued with a direct Red Card by the Referee.  

The MRP determined that Marchán had committed the offence of “Serious foul play (e.g. when challenging for the ball)”. The MRP confirmed that Marchán will serve a suspension of one (1) match, being the Minimum Sanction for the offence.
