September is proving to be another big month for Football Australia, with the Socceroos commencing their next round on the Road to Qatar, and a new date for the FFA Cup 2021 Round of 32 locked in.

Socceroos begin Round 3 qualifiers
Graham Arnold's Socceroos begun their Round 3 AFC Asian Qualifiers on Friday, 3 September at 4:00am AEST against China PR in Doha.
The match was the first game broadcast via Network 10 since the new deal commenced last month, with the Socceroos shown via Channel 10 and 10 play live & free.
The side picked up a fantastic 3-0 win, and will now line up against Vietnam in just a few days on Tuesday 7 September, with that game being shown via 10 (Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane), 10 Bold (Adelaide and Perth) and simulcast 10 play. Regional areas to be advised.
And in great news for football fans in Australia, EVERY AFC Round 3 Qualifier from both Group A and Group B will be shown live & free via 10 play.

FFA Cup Round of 32 fixtures
The FFA Cup 2021 Round of 32 is set to begin in September, with the opening game of the Final Rounds scheduled for Tuesday, 14 September between Peninsula Power (NPL) and Brisbane Roar (A-League).
Five matches have been scheduled in Queensland and Western Australia, with remaining Playoff and Round of 32 matches around Australia to be rescheduled when it is safe to do so.
Edge Hill United will face Gold Coast Knights in Cairns on Wednesday, 15 September and Lions FC will welcome Casuarina FC on Tuesday, 21 September. And in Western Australia, Floreat Athena will face Adelaide United on Sunday, 26 September (the first ever Round of 32 match to take place on a weekend), and ECU Joondalup will welcome Adelaide Olympic on Wednesday, 29 September.

CommBank Matildas line up an international friendly
The Commonwealth Bank Matildas will congregate in Europe in late September with an international friendly match announced against the Republic of Ireland.
The Matildas will face R.O.I at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin on Tuesday, 21 September, with kick-off scheduled for 4:00am AEST +1 (Wednesday, 22 September).
The game will also be shown live & free on 10 and simulcast on 10 play.
Celebrating 100 years since the first women's game in Australia
September marks a massive milestone in Australian Football history. On the 24th day of the ninth month in 1921, the first official public match of association football between two women's teams came when North Brisbane defeated South Brisbane 2-0 at the Brisbane Cricket Ground (now The Gabba).
North Brisbane was referred to as the ‘Reds’ and South Brisbane the ‘Blues’, and they were both kitted out in full football uniforms. Over 10,000 people attended the match, which is surely a record that stood for quite some time.
Football Queensland and Football Australia will be celebrating the milestone, with FQ hosting a special Centenary Event.
