Football Federation Australia (FFA) is saddened to learn of the passing of Colin Alagich Snr, the father of former Westfield Matilda Dianne Alagich and former Hyundai A-League, National Soccer League player, and Australian youth representative Richie Alagich.
Colin, who was a South Australian football icon and Port Adelaide Pirates club legend, was a keen supporter of his children’s careers both domestically and abroad.
From a Matildas perspective, Colin became a familiar face to the team as he attended many of Di’s 86 ‘A’ international matches played in Australia and abroad between 1995 and 2008.
Colin played over 300 senior games for the Port Adelaide Pirates, a club both Richie and Di also represented, and also served the club as a coach and secretary. He was a life member of the Port Adelaide Pirates.
FFA extends its thoughts and condolences to Colin’s family and friends at this time.
