Teagan Micah made her international debut for Australia and was rewarded with a clean sheet for her efforts.

It was a strong overall performance defensively with the side not conceding after shipping 13 goals across the previous three friendlies.

Far from the frantic start of the Denmark game, it was a more subdue opening 10 minutes as both sides settled into the match.

Sweden dominated possession in the midpart of the first half and began probing the Australia defence. Micah was forced into a fingertip save after Julia Roddar unleased a shot from distance in the 20th minute.

At the half hour mark, the Westfield Matildas had their best chance of the opening stanza. Emily van Egmond's pass out to the right from defence found Sam Kerr.

Australia's captain ran down the wing and squared the ball across the box to a waiting Kyah Simon. Her volley from 12 yards out was saved by Jennifer Falk.

The home side had a few more chances in the closing stages of the first half but Micah collected them comfortably.

The second half saw much of the same. Tony Gustavsson's side created more and more chances, beginning with a long range effort from Kyra Cooney-Cross in the 51st minute.

Kerr produced the Westfield Matildas best chance of the game in the 68th minute. Emily Gielnik played the ball out to Kerr who took it down the left flank.

With no intervention or pressure from the Swedish defence, she cut in and tried to squeeze a shot into the top corner at the near post but was denied by the woodwork.

The game opened up as it inched towards full time with both sides continuing to ask questions of each other. However, neither side could find the back of the net. It was the fourth draw between these two sides.

Australia and Sweden won't have to wait long for the rematch with the teams set to clash in Tokyo in just over a month's time.
