Football Australia is excited to offer schools the opportunity to celebrate their students, school spirit, and passion for football during the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

Introducing the Forever Golden Spotlight Series – A national initiative designed to showcase the energy, pride, and unique qualities that make every school community FOREVER GOLDEN.

Each week throughout the FIFA World Cup 2026™, selected schools from across Australia will be featured on Football Australia’s website and social media channels, providing schools a national platform to showcase their passion for football, community connection, and achievements – bringing school pride to life.

Every school has a story worth sharing. Whether it’s a growing football program, strong community connections, inclusive participation, or moments of pride that reflect your values - this is your chance to showcase what makes your school unique.

HOW IT WORKS

Throughout the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the Forever Golden Spotlight Series will roll out as a weekly celebration of school football communities across Australia.

  1. Schools will nominate themselves by completing the nomination form (see below).
  2. Football Australia reviews submissions and selects featured schools.
  3. A dedicated Football Australia social media post will be published every Thursday during the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
  4. Each post highlights five selected schools, celebrating their achievements, school spirit, passion for football, and support for the Socceroos.

This series ensures schools receive national recognition and visibility, giving each community the opportunity to shine.

Schools are invited to nominate by completing the Forever Golden Spotlight Series – Nomination Form

Nominations open: 8 May 2026

Nominations close: 10 July 2026

All submissions will be reviewed based on the quality of the nomination and the stories shared. Football Australia will contact selected schools prior to publication to confirm details and collaborate on content.
