Former national and ACT president of Australian Soccer Referees Federation, Dennis McDermott began refereeing in Sydney in 1954.
He moved to Canberra in 1960 where he helped establish the national body.
McDermott served as vice-president from 1980-82 and then president from 1983-86.
He refereed more than 600 first grade games, sat on the NSL panel for three years and is a Life Member of the ACT Federation and Referees.
