Rodney Woods

Sydney-born Rod Woods enjoyed a 30-year involvement with the sport as a player and official.

Woods began playing with Sydney St George, switching to senior administration in 1979.

He managed NSW teams to national titles, represented Amateurs on the Board of Soccer Australia and was an official with the Socceroos on national and overseas tours.

He served as competition secretary for the NSW Federation from 1991 until his retirement in 2000.
