Sid Grant

Newcastle born Sid Grant worked for 36 years as a football writer for major Australian newspapers.

A former NSW Association president, national selector and national team manager, Grant also served as Australia’s unofficial football historian from 1928.

He was awarded the BEM for services to sport and produced the first book to cover football in all Australian states.
