Tony Henderson

Born in England in 1954, Tony Henderson was a noted midfielder.

He played in England and South Africa before coming to Australia to join newly-formed NSL club Canberra Arrows.

At the start of the 1979 season, Henderson’s consistent form won the attention of national coach Rudi Gutendorf.

During his career he played in the 1982 World Cup campaign and represented Australia 51 times, including 27 A internationals for two goals.
