Vito Cilauro

Born in Italy in 1930, Vito Cilauro migrated to Melbourne in 1957.

During his long career, Cilauro was club delegate to the Victorian Federation and served as State League chairman from 1976 to 1988.

Cilauro was subsequently elected VSF chairman and representative to the Australian Soccer Federation where he became Deputy Chairman.

He toured overseas with national teams, is a Life Member and Patron of the VSF and was chairman of the Appeals Board.

Approaching 90-year-old, he was still recently a practising solicitor.
