Anti-Discrimination: Resources

FIFA has developed a Good Practice Guide on Diversity and Anti-Discrimination including a three (3) step procedure for dealing with discriminatory incidents, which is available here.

The Australian Human Rights Commission, in consultation with a number of sporting stakeholders, including the Coalition of Major Professional and Participation Sports (of which FFA is a member), has developed Guidelines for the Inclusion of Transgender and Gender Diverse People in Sport, which are available here.

The “Play by the Rules” website here provides helpful resources for identifying and managing bullying and harassment in sport.  It includes free online training courses which are helpful for all participants, including administrators here.

Sport Australia has also developed related resources to promote safe, fair and inclusive sport, which are available on the Sport Australia website here.  So too has the newly established government agency Sport Integrity Australia (SIA), with materials on safeguarding and member protection available from the SIA website here.

Football Australia will aim to provide further resources for participants, clubs and other football administrators on this page to help in eliminating any forms of discrimination from our sport in accordance with the Anti-Discrimination Policy.
