Australia’s future football superstars ready to shine in Coffs Harbour!

After two years of pandemic disruptions the National Youth Championships (NYC) are back. State teams will converge on Coffs Harbour in September to compete for the coveted national title.

NYC is Football Australia’s premier national youth tournament forming an important part of the talent identification program and the national team pathway.

Many current Socceroos and Commonwealth Bank Matildas are NYC alumni. 2022 will be no different with many participants destined for junior and senior national team selection.

Hosted by Northern NSW Football

Northern NSW Football has hosted the NYC since 2006 through the support of long-time partners Coffs City Council and the NSW Government.

It’s estimated that this year’s National Youth Championships will attract 3,000 visitors to Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas. The NYC will deliver strong economic benefits to the local economy, while competitors will experience some of the state’s best regional sporting facilities.
