Gordon Dunster started his refereeing career in 1976 and went on to enjoy wide success.
He refereered the 1988 National Youth League grand final before progressing to the NSL ranks in 1990.
Between 1990 and 1993 he refereed 46 games.
In 1992 Dunster was appointed by FIFA as international linesman and officiated at the 1992 World Cup qualifier between NZ and Fiji.
He officiated at a further 18 internationals, including the 1992 Olympic Games.
He was named FIFA Linesman of the Year in 1994 and 1996.
Dunster retired in 1998 to become ACT Referees State coach and assist the ACT Women's Association.
